Synopsis

NYPD Detectives Christopher Danson and P.K. Highsmith (Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson) are the baddest and most beloved cops in New York City. They don’t get tattoos – other men get tattoos of them. Two desks over and one back, sit Detectives Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell) and Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg). You’ve seen them in the background of photos of Danson and Highsmith, out of focus and eyes closed. They’re not heroes – they’re “the Other Guys.”

But every cop has his or her day and soon Gamble and Hoitz stumble into a seemingly innocuous case no other detective wants to touch that could turn into New York City’s biggest crime. It’s the opportunity of their lives, but do these guys have the right stuff?

Columbia Pictures’ ensemble action comedy The Other Guys stars Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Eva Mendes, Michael Keaton, Steve Coogan, Ray Stevenson, with Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne Johnson. Toy Story3 3D Media Screening

Just came back from Toy Story3 3D media screening with a bunch of Advertlets bloggers @ Mid Valley Megamall. It was fun! I was invited to attend the launch of Toy Story 3' Meet & Greet Event at the Center Court as well. We get to take pictures with Woody & Buzz Lightyear which came all the way from HK! Someone spotted Ironman as well. Hmm did Ironman really made an appearance?

Anyway let's start off with the Toy Story 3 Meet & Greet event.


Everyone arrived and sat down to listen a few talks from TM and the CEO of Disney Malaysia.


The event started with an introduction by Azura, Disney Buzz host.


Woody and Buzz Lightyear came out to officialize Toy Story 3 in Malaysia. And those costumes are imported all the way from HK !

This is AmandaChoe. No.1 fan of Toy Story. She brought this metal container box running around asking for popcorn donation. lol. Bet she will enjoy the movie a lot. Like this.



Well to be honest, I haven't got the chance to watch Toy Story 1&2. Straight up jump and watch the 3rd one. When I was younger, I don't really fancy watching cartoon movies, so i couldn't care less watching it. BUT, Toy Story proved me wrong. From the beginning of the movie, I found myself happily smiling in my seat. I gave a high expectation on this movie. eventually, it turned out to be a nice and touching movie. Yes, the 3rd one. Storyline was good, love the Animation graphics, lotsa new character, love the touching moments in the movie. not to forget Buzz's Spanish & Japan mode is funny and romantic. LOL Overall, it was a nice movie!

On a scale of 9/10, Toy Story 3 goes to Infinity, and Beyond!

The movie started off when the owner of the toys; Andy, is now a teenage boy. He is just days away from heading off to college, and his toys, including Woody, Buzz Lightyear are friends are worried about their uncertain future that they are gonna get dumped in a day-care center. and the story continues.... You should go watch it next week and you'll know how the story goes. Showing in cinemas this 17 June. No regrets watching it in 3D! I think, I should watch Toy Story 1&2 soon.

A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010) Movie Review

Thanks to Century Fox & Advertlets.com for the movie tickets! Went for a movie premiere screening by Advertlets 2 days ago @ Mid Valley with the bloggers to catch "A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010)". Freedy Kreuger the main cast appeared which I didn't get to see him cause I was busy dealing with bloggers at the ticket collection booth. But you'll see his photo in my previous post. HERE lol. Anyway, here's what I have to say for this movie.



Personally, I love horror/slasher/thriller movies thus im pretty exited to watch this movie at first. Elderly people told me, Nightmare On Elm Street is actually a very old movie and they remake another new one this year. Oh well, I didn't know about the old ones if im not mistaken it was year (1984) which the movie was release. Which I haven't even exited in this earth yet. lol

PLOT of the movie. *spoiler
Nancy, Kris, Quentin, Jesse and Dean all live on Elm Street. At night, they’re all having the same dream— of the same man, wearing a tattered red and green striped sweater, a beaten fedora half-concealing a disfigured face and a gardener’s glove with knives for fingers. And they’re all hearing the same frightening voice… One by one, he terrorizes them within the curved walls of their dreams, where the rules are his, and the only way out is to wake up. But when one of their number dies a violent death, they soon realize that what happens in their dreams happens for real, and the only way to stay alive is to stay awake. Turning to each other, the four surviving friends try to uncover how they became part of this dark fairytale, hunted by this dark man. Functioning on little to no sleep, they struggle to understand why them, why now, and what their parents aren’t telling them. Buried in their past is a debt that has just come due, and to save themselves, they will have to plunge themselves into the mind of the most twisted nightmare of all. Freddy Krueger.

Freddy Kreugar with his blades embedded in the fingers and kills people in their dreams, resulting in their real death in reality. His metal blades damn power. can produce sparks one. also damn sharp by the sound of his blades. lol


Whenever you sleeps, he'll hunt for you. This girl is smart. She set alarm on her phone. lol


By burning herself on her arm with car ciggies lighter ain't gonna make her awake. Got slashed by Freddy still in da supermarket while Quentin was buying his pill which would subject him to insomnia. A quick look on their eye bags. Very serious never slept for 3 days those kinda people. Can DIE !


Being hunt by the 5 youth parents when they were young. Chase him into a abandon building, lock himself up and no where else to go. And the parents burned him up with fire and resulting him as how does he look like now. with the burned face and all. and the story continues.

By the way, LOL I like this one. It actually rhymes.

One, two, Freddy Come to you.
Three, four, better lock your door.
Five, six, grab your crucifix.
Seven, eight, gonna stay up late.
Nine, ten, never sleep again.

About the movie Review. *spoiler
A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) is the remake of the original A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) and is a fantastic one at that. Put aside all your previous biases on remakes and take a good look at this movie. The Nightmare on Elm Street remake (2010) actually managed to be a lil scary at times instead of just plain silly (laughing because it's not scary at all). I can't really compare the old and the new but just by giving opinions on the new one (2010)

The movie manages to be generally creepy. Scary at times but not all. Movie focused too much on the side character rather than the main character on the first half of the movie. Quentin and Nancy only appeared after those 3 friends died. Freddy Krueger the main character, a serial-killer who wields a glove with four blades embedded in the fingers. Yes his dialog in the movie was quite boring, limited, flat. All I heard from him in the movie is just that few repeated sentence. Overall the story line was okay for me but the scrip in the movie need a lil bit of improvement.

I have a thought in my mind of how are they gonna bring Freddy back to reality where Quentin and Nancy can kill him and stop hunting them forever. and that is a really good idea where they manage to figure out an idea where Nancy decides the only way to end this is to pull Krueger out of their dreams and kill him in reality. Quentin tries to stay awake long enough to pull Nancy out of her dream when she has Freddy, but he falls asleep and is attacked. Krueger then goes after Nancy, and explains that he intentionally left her for last so she would stay awake long enough that when she finally fell asleep, she would no longer be able to wake back up. While Nancy struggles with Freddy, Quentin wakes and uses the adrenaline and stab right into her cleavage to bring Nancy up and pull Freddy into reality. (my reation towards that reminds me of L4D2 and it was damn pain by looking at him stabbing her with that) With Krueger distracted by Quentin, Nancy uses a broken paper cutter blade to cut Freddy's gloved hand off, and then slice his throat. Woots he died! While Nancy burned the room with Krueger's body left inside.

I liked the last part of the movie though. Where Krueger suddenly appears in a mirror's reflection and kills Nancy's mother before pulling her body through the mirror while Nancy screams. The best way to end the movie.

Overall this film is worth seeing but not worth paying. I rate 6/10. Not that bad as the reviews from other people from da web. 1/10 OR 2/10. OMG that's ridiculous. Show some mercy will ya.

Alice In Wonderland Movie Review

Trailer comes first before the review. *Just to inform you, this is a spoiler post*

I remember when I was small, I used to read this story Alice In Wonderland in some kids story book. And until now, I roughly still remember how does the story goes.

Yes I went to watch the latest one on Monday. The premiere screening of Alice In Wonderland @ TGV KLCC exclusive for the Adv bloggers. OH ya, we get free popcorn & coke at the entrance to the cinema hall. BEST!

Claim by everyone AFTER the movie : To compare to the latest one with the old one, it's almost the same but there's quite a big difference in some scene of the movie. Perhaps the story line - Coming out of the cinema complaning this movie not nice, I don't get the story line!! etc. LOL.

Characters involved is all the same like the original cartoon. Mad Hatter, The Rabbit, The Cheshire Cat, The Red Queen, The White Queen, Tweedledum & Tweedledee, and Alice Kingsley.

Everything started when she fell into the hole while the rabbit was calling her to follow him. And that's when Alice fell and woke up in Wonderland.

Anne Hathaway taking the role as the White Queen which never really appeared much in the movie. Yes, only to the end of the movie. Not to forget The Red Queen, which they specially film it with 4K hi-def camera called a Dulsa with 4000 lines of resolution was used to shoot Helena Bonham Carter’s Red Queen to enable her head to be blown up to twice its size in post-production without losing any image quality.

My personal thought of this movie. Well at first, I thought "Alice In Wonderland" this movie was the same storyline like the original old cartoon. Just that they want to re film again for the sake of the visuals, effects, 3D cartoon purposes etc. Until I get to watch the music Video for this movie called "Almost Alice". The album’s title, "Almost Alice," comes from a line in the film. All of Underland has been awaiting Alice’s return since she first visited as a child, but when she does come back, nobody, Including Alice believes she’s the right Alice, the confident and feisty Alice they once knew. Eventually, the wise caterpillar tells her she’s Almost Alice.

That's why I was wondering, because I've seen a few scene in the movie mentioning that Alice was not right Alice and claim to be Almost Alice. I was like WHAT!? I don't get it. Since it was the come back of Alice or the return of Alice to Wonderland, they should name the movie THE return of Alice In Wonderland. Or perhaps they wanna let us realize ourself that it's a comeback for Alice?

WONDERLAND! NO UNDERLAND - Underland is the same fantastical land that Alice visited as a child, but according to screenwriter Linda Woolverton - she misheard the word “Underland” and thought they said “Wonderland.” Woolverton says Underland is a part of the Earth, lying somewhere far beneath our world. It’s come upon hard times since the malevolent Red Queen took over the throne, but is a truly wonderful land, which might explain why the girl who mistook it for Wonderland has been called upon to help return it to its glory.

People who are expecting it to be the same like the old cartoon story line, well it's NOT! To be safe, it's better for you to have a better understanding about Alice in Wonderland original story.

Apart form that, Alice In Wonderland comes in 3D which sounds awesome to all. But for me, I rather to watch it in 2D. Which watching in Digital 3D is pointless in this movie. Not much a difference when I tired taking off and putting on my 3D specs in cinema. Like a friend of mine Bryan said, it does gives you a feel of like those books with pop-up castles, characters and so on.

My Ratings : 5/10 Not really my kind of movie.

Movie Alice In Wonderland will released in Disney Digital 3D on 4th March and opening in cinemas on 11th March 2010. Confirmed.
